We are delighted to announce the “2025 International Workshop on Multiscale Innovative Materials and Structures (MIMS25)”, which will take place from October 29 to November 1st, 2025, in Cetara (Amalfi Coast) – Salerno.
Abstracts are invited in the following areas:
Multiscale mechanics
Mechanical and acoustic metamaterials
Seismic metamaterials
Wave propagation in discrete and continuous systems
Architectured materials and sustainable composites
Granular materials and systems
Smart materials and structures
Microstructure engineering
A special issue of Mechanics Research Communications (MRC) will feature original, peer-reviewed contributions presented at the Workshop. This issue aims to showcase articles at the forefront of applied mechanics, materials science and engineering, and physics, advancing our understanding of material mechanics across scales. It will emphasize applications in the design, modeling, manufacturing, and experimentation of innovative multiscale materials and structures.

January 1, 2025: Abstract submission and registration open
April 30, 2025: Abstract submission deadline
May 31, 2025: Abstract reviews completed and submissions open for the MRC special issue
June 15, 2025: Registration deadline
September 15, 2025: Submission deadline for the MRC special issue
