Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the Mini-Symposium “MS03 – Damaged elements and structures: models, resolution techniques, detection devices, experimental approaches” organized by Giuseppe Ruta and Uğurcan Eroğlu within the Engineering Mechanics Institute International Conference 2023  – EMI IC 2023.

The Conference will be hosted at University of Palermo, August 27-30, 2023.

The Mini-Symposium aims at providing a collection of works on/at creating a forum about  different models of damage; models of damaged structures and structural elements; resolution techniques for direct problems in static and dynamics; inverse problems and challenges for damage detection by static and/or dynamic measurements; experimental techniques for damage detection including contact and non-contact measurements, static vs. dynamic apparatuses, laboratory vs. in-situ measurements; sensors or sensor networks for damage detection; signal transmission and so on.
